Pastor Brian Crown

Fellow Mobsters,

As most of you know by now, on Friday last week we lost our good friend and pastor Brian Crown. You can imagine both the mental and financial strain that his bride Tracy and his family is going through. Please consider making a gift at gift@givetoHim.com.

1 Timothy 6:6-7, 17-19 — “But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. ... Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”

From Pastor Bil's website:

As many of you know, our good friend and fellow pastor Brian Crown has been battling ALS. Late Thursday night I received a call from Tracy Crown, Pastor Brian Crown's precious wife, letting me know that she was not convinced that Brian would make it through the night. I immediately went to be by his side, to say goodbye and help prepare him for going Home. As I left, I could not help but believe that this may be the last time that I would see my good friend and fellow pastor alive. As I left, I told Tracy to call my cell phone if anything changed. At 2:00 AM I received the call that no one wants to hear.

Last night our good friend, Brian Crown went to be with the Lord. He proved to all of us that he was a fighter. Brian was a marine, then a policeman, a teacher, and a minister, always fighting the good fight. The past 6 years Brian has been our pastoral care pastor. I must admit I found it very difficult, and ironic that I was now going to the house to help a family with their loss, when this is exactly what Brian did with so many families.
